About the role

  • The main responsibilities of this role include:-
  • Maximize “re-usability” in code libraries, components and solutions
  • Provide solutions to Coffey that are more cost effective than externally procured solutions
  • Use the cloud to avoid costly investments, pay per use
  • Plan ahead to maximize available resource usage and avoid “the unexpected”
  • Be a key member of the team and to contribute to development of procedures, standards and methodologies
  • Provide technical leadership and advice in development tools and technologies and development practice
  • Work with junior members of the team in a mentoring capacity to help share knowledge and build skills in relevant areas
  • Develop a culture of excellence by maintaining a clear focus on Coffey behaviours
  • Continuously improve technical knowledge and capability

 About you

  • Highly proficient skills in client side development and testing of web and data based applications (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, Bootstrap, AngularJS, NodeJS, Typescript)
  • Proficient in Microsoft development technologies (C#, ASP.NET, MVC, LINQ to SQL and Entity Framework)
  • User Experience Design
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • High level of initiative, problem solving and organisational ability
  • Proven commitment to personal improvement outside the work environment
  • Strong customer service ethic
  • Experience developing and/or implementing standards, tools and processes
  • Experience working within globally dispersed businesses
  • Familiar with databases and cloud technology (Microsoft Azure, SQL, DocumentDB)
  • University degree in Computer Science discipline or related
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Senior Software Engineer
