About the opportunity
We are looking for an Senior/Associate Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist to join the Wellington team. Current projects include a wide range of specialist areas and challenging projects such as: transport infrastructure, property development and earthquake strengthening projects. A key element of your role will be to manage a range of assignments in geotechnical investigation, fieldwork management, design, analysis and reporting.
In joining the Coffey business you will have the opportunity to manage project delivery, project finances and junior engineers who will look to you for mentoring.
Building the business is paramount and this starts with you. We will support you to convert your market knowledge into winning proposals.
You'll have a reputation for high quality geotechnical work and a solid list of recognisable projects. Ideally, you will be chartered or working towards your chartered accreditation with broad hands-on civil design knowledge. You'll have 8+ years minimum experience.
Clients are critical to a consulting business and this role will see you managing and growing our client base.
Ideally you will have the following experience and qualifications:
- In civil/geotechnical engineering & be a Chartered Engineer (or working towards this) with 8+ years experience, most of which should ideally be in New Zealand.
- Have relevant professional experience in a consulting environment and in transport and infrastructure projects.
- Be an experienced project manager of small & large scale projects & be able to drive financial and risk management
- Build strong trusted client relationships to grow market share.
