The Program

Pacific RISE (the Pacific Readiness for Investment in Social Enterprises Facility) is funded by DFAT and has been designed, and is now implemented, by Coffey. Pacific RISE has a clear objective to assist establish a new impact investment market in the Pacific. Everything Pacific RISE supports has a direct line of sight to an impact investment deal, and deals are now happening.

With the support of the Criterion Institute, Pacific RISE promotes gender lens investing. Our team is committed to moving beyond merely counting women to understanding their contributions and influences in the business cycle. Pacific RISE is assisting to unpack and confirm why investing in women is good for business, and a good investment.

Pacific RISE creates strong working relationships across the Pacific. One example is our Partnership with the Pacific Trade Invest Australia (PTI Australia) where we combine our resources to find Pacific businesses seeking new capital and connect them to investors seeking deals. Our support to creating a new Pacific Impact Investment market is relationship based and we build linkages between investors, funds, intermediaries and Pacific businesses that can deliver both financial and social returns. We provide practical support including grants and technical support, when required, and we are operating across fourteen Pacific Island Countries (PIC) to make them “investment ready” for impact investors. 

The Position

We are looking for a dynamic manager with an eye for detail who can take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of Pacific RISE. This includes relationship management, team coordination, oversight of the Scoping Orders and Impact Investment Readiness Service Orders and program reporting. They will need to be Canberra based to ensure close collaboration with the Pacific Economic Growth Section at DFAT and to maintain enthusiastic consultation with other stakeholders and development partners.

The Person

The ideal candidate for this key position will have experience in maintaining a strong relationship base, program management, private sector development and social sector programs, and be capable of coordinating a technical adviser team. They will have strong written communication skills and experience in managing a similar assignment. Pacific experience is preferred.
