Flexible and dynamic team environment; great mix of project work, supporting leaders with people cycle activities as well as business advisory.
About the role
A genuine passion for the contribution of our technical experts to the world we live in is essential.
This role partners with our managers to deliver HR solutions and initiatives for all business lines across Australia and New Zealand.
You will support the delivery of our annual people cycle activities and will assist our leaders to maximise the effectiveness of the cycle for our most critical asset, our people.
You’ll understand the importance of commercial results and the impact of people activities on business performance and will draw together these two aspects in all elements of your role. You’ll identify opportunities to make incremental improvements at a company level, and will work with managers to develop and implement local initiatives that support our overall business strategy.
You’ll manage multiple HR projects, initiatives and cases simultaneously, and will provide the first contact point for complex people related advice for our managers.
Part of a small team, and reporting to the HR Director, you’ll collaborate with other HR, HSSE and Talent Acquisition team members as well as the broader functional team that support our operations.
As an experienced HR business partner, you can effectively build client relationships and make use of the annual people cycle disciplines to help leaders lift the performance of their business and the engagement of their teams. You combine hard business data with your operational observations to find insights that will help leaders to unlock business performance and achieve maximum impact on culture and engagement. You’ll also bring substantial HR expertise to the conversation, and have established yourself in past roles as a source of knowledge, wisdom and guidance.
Ideally you’ll have worked in professional services consulting with exposure to science and engineering driven technical workforces. You’ll also be adept when it comes to building your relationships and networks across a large geography, and others will describe you as a comfortable and relatable communicator.
Outcome and delivery focussed, you’ll be skilled in engaging and coaching internal stakeholders at all levels and managing multiple priorities in a fast paced, high demand environment. Judgement, initiative and collaboration will be amongst your stand-out attributes as will your commercial and organisational maturity.
Your experience and attributes will be underpinned by qualifications in Business, Human Resources, or Organisational Psychology.
Please note: You must hold Australian work rights to apply for this position.
