About the role

In this role you can look forward to making a difference to a business and to your career.

The role also plays an integrated part of the land contamination and environmental auditing teams across Australia and New Zealand.

Essentially, you’ll be responsible for providing high-level contamination investigation, risk assessment, remediation and site management advice to our clients in the resource, infrastructure and energy sectors.

Leveraging your technical know-how and ability to build and manage client relationships, you’ll also be responsible for:

  • Ensuring our clients continue to be impressed with our service and knowledge
  • Developing competitive and persuasive proposals that win projects
  • Developing scope and budgets for complex site assessment and remediation projects
  • Providing technical direction of remediation planning and implementation
  • Providing technical oversight and direction of complex site investigation, risk assessment and conceptual site model design
  • Developing, mentoring, and supporting the team to build technical capability

You’ll be supported by and work closely with local in-house specialist engineering design teams, hydrogeologists, geotechnical engineers, tailings engineers, project managers, landfill design and waste management specialists and environmental approval consultants.  You will also have input into the strategic direction of site assessment and remediation capabilities and services in the Australasian region and will have the opportunity to work with global experts in land contamination and water treatment through our North American sister companies.

About you

For success in this high profile technical leadership role, you’ll be tertiary qualified and have considerable experience in leading large and complex contaminated land assessment and remediation projects.

A detailed knowledge of the application of the National Environmental Protection (Assessment of Site Contamination) Measure is essential to this role and an understanding of State environmental policy and guidance would also be well regarded.

You’ll enjoy managing and building key client relationships and using your reputation for technical expertise to leverage growth opportunities for the business. Your passion for the industry and pride in your delivery will be an asset in mentoring and developing the team around you.

A great network of people in the business community in WA will be highly advantageous.
