The Australian Government has established the Fiji Program Support Facility (the Facility) in partnership with the Government of Fiji to implement its education, health and scholarship aid programs in Fiji and its scholarship program in Tuvalu. The Facility will also support the delivery of Australia’s emergency preparedness and response efforts and governance sector support. As with all Australian Government aid, cross cutting priorities of civil society engagement, gender equality, disability inclusiveness, child protection and climate change will be integrated across all programs.
Support to Fiji’s education sector is a key component of the Facility. The focus of the support is on strengthening education service delivery as well as education systems strengthening, in particular literacy and numeracy, inclusive education, Fiji Education Management Information System (FEMIS), internet connectivity, and teacher preparation and development. The company managing the Facility on behalf of the Australian Government, Coffey, is currently seeking applications for the role of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Coordinator - Education to join this team.
The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Coordinator will work closely with the MEL Specialist, Team Leader Education and broader Education team to support the monitoring, evaluation and learning capability in the Program and within Ministry of Education, Heritage and Arts (MEHA). Key responsibilities include:
- Work with the Education Program MEL Specialist to populate and continually refine the Education Program results framework.
- Support the Education MEL Specialist to develop high quality methods and tools which are tailored to the information needs of the Education Program, MEHA and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).
- Work with staff within MEHA to support the collection, management and communication of qualitative and quantitative data and information about implementation of activities for quality reporting.
The ideal candidate will be degree qualified and have previous practical experience in collecting, managing and analysing monitoring and evaluation data and information, including experience working with online databases and preparing quality reports for clients. Previous experience working across a range of program activities and with diverse stakeholders will be highly regarded, with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to self-manage a variety of tasks.
