About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic geotechnical engineer or engineering geologist to work on diverse projects across the country while developing your skills.
You will work as part of a close-knit team, planning and undertaking a variety of field investigations. Working with an energetic and focused team, a typical day includes:
- Preparation of HSSE plans
- Fieldwork preparation, including permit and licence application
- Variety of field investigations including drilling, test pitting and others
- Laboratory testing, drafting and borehole/test pit log preparation
- Contributing to proposals and reporting

Some experience in management and supervision of geotechnical field investigations, including soil and rock logging and understanding of in situ testing would be a great asset for the role.
You will need to be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident to be considered.
A full driver’s licence is a must (manual).
Beyond your qualifications in civil and geotechnical/ geology and your current experience, we’ll develop your skills in becoming an experienced engineer or geologist, engaging with clients, contributing to winning proposals and delivering projects. You’ll work on site performing field investigations, managing subcontractors, drill rigs, service locators and traffic control crews. In the office you will contribute to proposals, analysis, reporting, with exposure to project management principles.
You’ll need confidence in interacting with clients and subcontractors and a genuine desire to build a career in consulting.
